Rescatamos el documental de Henry “Cobra”  NY 77 The coolest year in the hell, porque sigue siendo un testimonio  cojonudo de la mezcla que se cocía en el Nueva York del 77: punk en el CBGB’S, discofunk en Studio54, rap en las canchas, blockpartys  y clubes, break en las aceras,  la industria del porno y el show business, la fiebre del polvo de ángel, el apagón del 77  y sus disturbios,  el desastre  urbano, la lucha de Ed Koch por llegar al poder…..los Ramones, los New York Dolls, el puto Andy Warhol y su cara de muerto, vamos la pura visión del American Glamour Dream contra el NY de  la Jungla de asfalto….

En cuanto al graff tan solo Blade, Lee Quiñones y Henry Chalfant explican de pasada algunas historietas. Por otra parte, las intervenciones de KRS One, Afrika Bam, Grandmaster Caz, del promotor Sal Abatiello y del locutor Mark Riley aportan una perspectiva interesante sobre el papel de las comunidades negra y portoriqueña en el establecimiento del rap y en la formación del controvertido Hip-Hop, concepto que tomó forma -en palabras del especialista Steven Hager- ese mismo año a través de estructuras como la Universal Zulu Nation………….Enjoint!
